Mr. Burns & The Geezer - I Am An Acid Junkie / Welcome - geezerpome Skank one was the begining of a number of flat out acid techno tunes released by Mr Burns and the Geezer, #1 in mr Burns own words the best of all the releases, some of which are far superior to many SUF tunes. Skankadelic started in the early 90's as a Techno/hard trance night in Banbury (Oxfordshire)then in 2000 mr Burns came along and gave it a new lease of life taking the Club to subway city where the likes of the Liberator boys and Dave the Drummer played. Skank sounds is flat out 303 acid techno at it's very highest sandard. |
Road Goes On Forever Records - whinton Road Goes On Forever Records is a small, independant label, originally launched in 1991. It has been in its present guise since 1993. John Tobler has run the company since that time with his wife, Lynda Hugen-Tobler, and most of the artist on the label are personal friends of the couple. The label produces some great albums, mostly folk, old style R'n'B, country and jazz but with a touch of prog rock thrown in for good measure. |
Guflu Industries - frontlin Dutch label owned by John van Loon, mainly to release music of his projects Dark Territory and Lemonsoul. Previously the label was called Dark Territory Records, under which the debut album Libera Me and the DarkFlower EP by Dark Territory were released. In 2007 it was decided to change the name of the label into Guflu Industries, so that other projects and artist can also be included in future. Guflu Industries has worldwide distribution through the help of Prussia Records/Rough Trade. |
Black Jazz Consortium - RE:Actions Of Light - JonnieDarko Stellar Album debut for BJC!
I would have to say one of the Deepest Deep House Albums you're gonna hear for a long long time.
Especially the track 'Deepness'. A religious experience of a track. Just ensure you're sitting down whilst hearing this as it will have you drifting out of reality quicker than you can say ...Black Jazz Consortium!
Fred Peterkin conjures images on a deep spiritual level. Taking nods from the great Larry Heard, Ron Trent & even ambient artists of the same caliber & culminating it together to create a deep house experience you want to relive again & again. Almost Ambient-house in parts. With tracks like Look To The Future, There Is Still Hope & God's Promise (amongst others) giving you an idea of the album's agenda & it does not disappoint whatsoever. He's tapping into your soul & you like it.

Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight - amberoid I have never been a huge fan of poetry, but sometimes you can listen to words without really understanding, and they sound good. This band should be at the top of the singles and album charts, although it could never be due to the language used.
Songs are about Scottish life and are thoroughly uplifting. It seems that the raw songs have been processed by a team of American sound engineers (correct me if I'm wrong) which mixes the raw pathos of the draft music with a pop glaze, and the resultant mix occasionally tastes too rich (track 3) but overall works incredibly well.
This is an album for the underground music lover who wants something he can play his friends, because this is accessible and powerful. It holds up fantastically to repeat listening and leaves you sated and happy that, yes, good music is still being made.

Âme - Fabric 42 - housemusic3 Âme, of “Rej” fame, Hit hard on this 14 track global groover. Deep, dark, pounding drums and psychedelic vocal snippets, meld seamlessly with wicked tribal rhythms, climactic, hands-in-the-air breaks and devastating bass lines. This is a House/electronic masterpiece showing their versatility as well as their unabashed programming skills. Mix starts out mellow and builds and builds. Very Hot! Would expect nothing less from a marriage of Ame and Fabric both know for high qualitity output. |
Beth Orton - Central Reservation - housemusic3 This is an unbelievable female vocal – a remix from UK folkie Beth Orton, who many remember for her 1997 collaboration with the Chemical Brothers. DJs will love the slammin’ mixes by Deep Dish, which feature a heavy, funky bassline with incredible kicks. And toward the end, they add a nice acoustic guitar. Also check Joe Claussell’s brilliant mixes, which have a sweet and light tribal percussive edge that meld beautifully with her voice. This is a well sought after 12 inch of promo only mixes. |
Aniki - Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me - housemusic3 Sandy Riviera of Kings of Tomorrow is a master at transforming disco classics into modern day house hits, this time he brings us a remake of Patti Austin's "Betcha Wouldn't Hurt Me." With a smooth bassline flowing right along with an emotional vocal, this cut also offers some hypnotic disco-like strings. The dub includes some heavier drum programming. Try the dub first and then bring in the vocal. A great production from beginning to end. This is one of those house gems often overlooked at first and sought after years later. |
Deep Dish - Summer's Over - housemusic3 Deep Dish explodes with the second slammin' release from their terrific album Junk Science. With a deep, pulsating bassline and extremely powerful samples _ some even sounding like a spaceship is flying over your head _ and a number of similar sounds that hit you hard from every direction, "Summer's Over" is a spectacular journey aa late night dancefloor filler for sure. This is an epic track that is a magical mix of hard and deep progressive house! |
Moloko - Sing It Back - housemusic3 This amazing female vocal comes available on three separate import 12-inch singles as well as this double pack. Check Todd Terry's production magic with his beautiful, dreamy organs and funky catchy keyboards. Boris Dlugosch really serves us DJs with a musical gem filled with wicked "deep house" bass and a brilliantly placed guitar. This is an excellent garage vocal and a must-have record for any DJ who wants to hold a floor. A House anthem for sure! |
